What these charges are for

Access line: connects your home to the phone network through our local switch.

Access Recovery Charge: FCC Order 11-161 requires telephone companies to bill this charge each month to residential and business customers who buy local phone service.

Telecommunications Access System Act surcharge: collected on every phone line, as required by the Florida Public Service Commission, to run the Florida Relay Service. Relay lets people who use text telephones (TTYs) talk with people who use standard phones.

Federal Universal Service charge: supports phone service for schools, libraries, rural health care providers, low-income customers, and customers in rural, insular, and high-cost areas.

Customized code restrictions

Blocks outgoing long distance calls so you stay in control of your bill. The PIN option lets you override the block one call at a time. Restricting extended local calling is optional with Basic and not available with the PIN service. Ask a service representative for details.

Save with more than one service

You save $1.00 a month on your second service and 50¢ a month on the third and each one after. Discounted rates are also available on certain groupings of calling features. Excludes per-trace Call Trace and bundled services. Call or stop by our office for details.

Service order charges, connection fees, and taxes are not included in these rates.

Wiring and equipment

We provide and maintain service up to the demarcation point, where our network connects to the wiring in your home. That's usually a network interface device, jack, terminal strip, or protector. Inside wiring is all wire or cable on your side of that point.

For customers with hearing or speech disabilities

Non-published or non-listed number service is free for hearing- or speech-impaired customers. We can also add a TTY or TTY+Voice note next to your directory listing at no charge.
